Shakespeare Company in Residence

The South Carolina Shakespeare Company offers a variety of residencies to Elementary, Middle, and High Schools. Residencies are tailor made to fit the needs of each individual school. From interactive presentations that introduce students to the world of Shakespeare's plays, his life, and his theatre to more advanced workshops concerning text and performance, there is something for every age group.

In addition to residencies centered on Shakespeare, company artists can provide workshops concerning a number of theatre related disciplines. Those interested in arranging for one of our artists to perform an in-house residency should contact the company via e-mail or phone.

Here is just a sample of possible residencies:

Shakespeare's World	An interactive presentation designed to introduce students to Shakespeare and his theatre.
Shakespeare in Performance	A week long residency designed for drama students. The residency explores text and performance.
Theatre Improvisation	A week long residency designed to teach students the art of theatre improvisation.
